Christian F. Johnson, MS, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/ Psychotherapist & Consultant that received her Master of Science degree from Columbia University in 2002. She gained her psychotherapy, counseling and consulting experience from providing services to a diverse background of individuals, couples, families, groups and organizations in school and community based settings.
She founded Wholistic Counseling & Wellness Alternatives, LLC in 2006 based on the belief that self- reliance is achieved when of a person's life are balanced and functioning as a whole. This is established when an individual is making conscious healthy and rational decisions, that essentially will create healthy lifestyle behaviors.
Moreso, Ms. Johnson is also a locally and nationally recognized Trainer, Writer and Speaker. She has been featured in local and national media interviews with media such as KTVK- News Channel 3, Phoenix Public Access 12, Black Enterprise Magazine, and National Association of Social Workers- AZ Chapter. She was also a Freelance Writer/Columnist for Belle-Noir.com, an online magazine that focuses on Size Acceptance and Women's Empowerment.
Christian F. Johnson is a National Certified Trainer for the Olweus International Bullying Prevention Program, a trained Mediator and has developed and presented trainings, workshops, and presentations for various schools, businesses and organizations. Her clinical focus in therapy primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy which focuses on the importance of challenging and changing your thoughts to change your behaviors; thus creating a more positive outlook and lifestyle. Christian's clinical specialities include: anxiety, depression, trauma/ PTSD, relationship issues, and school and workplace stressors.
Nasir Abdul-Bari has a M.Ed. in Counseling, and is a Licensed Associate Substance Abuse Counselor in the State of Arizona by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. Nasir has over 15 years of counseling experience in a variety of professional settings such as Rehabilitation and Mental Health Hospital, Residential Treatment Center, State of Arizona Residential, Maricopa County Superior Court Intensive Outpatient, City Courts Court Ordered Counseling. Mr. Abdul-Bari’s clients range from Federal, City and State Employees, large corporations to small- and family-owned businesses, to non-profit agencies and individuals. Nasir’s clinical specialties include: chemical dependency/ substance abuse, depression, anxiety, job-related difficulties and career related issues, individual/personal coaching, and life transitions.
Nasir combines his clinical counseling expertise with his business knowledge to offer clients a unique perspective in problem solving. Nasir specializes in short-term results using Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), combined with other modalities. In counseling individuals, couples, groups, children, adolescents, and families, “I find that self-defeating attitudes, feelings, and behaviors can be dramatically changed with the use of REBT’s action-oriented, solution-oriented, cognitive-behavioral approach.”
